Whatever you imagine when you think of a family photography session…forget all of that. This is much more like having a friend over to hang out, and I just so happen to have a camera with me! I don’t follow you around with my camera in your face the whole time. I’m curious and spend time learning about your family through conversation and observation. I take photographs as moments happen, but I will also direct you into creating one with my artistic soul. I often let your kids be the boss a bit, and see where their childlike imaginations and sense of fun take us. It’s really that easy. Even the men can enjoy it! 😉

Mini sessions are a fun, quick way to capture moments you don’t want to miss in between booking your regular sessions. Perfect for celebrating holidays or simply the changing seasons my clients love these family photography sessions for something to look forward to throughout the chaos of everyday life! These mini sessions are offered on certain dates throughout the year and will be advertised on social media for booking!

During the summer season, the prime time to book family photography sessions is evenings for that beautiful golden hour vibe. Booking 2 hours before sunset will give you that glow you see in many of my images. I offer weekday sessions as well as limited weekend sessions due to wedding photography and extended family sessions. I look forward to working with you!
Just fill out the contact form at the bottom of this page or send me an email at connect@lisadurand.ca. Once we have decided on a date you will receive a link to your personal client portal which has; a questionnaire (so I can get to know you and your family before our session and make it the best experience possible for you), your invoice and contract.
After our session I will send you a little sneak peek within 48 hours, and then 2-4 weeks after our session I will email you a link to your online gallery. This gallery can be shared with your family or friends and you will also have access to your own personalized online store where you can order prints, canvases, framed prints, albums, etc.
We really can’t change mother nature, so sometimes there may need to be a reschedule due to weather or even sickness as these things can’t be controlled. Same goes if I am unwell, I don’t want to be bringing that into your home or passing onto any of you. Often times I try and book a reschedule date off the hop.
All bookings require a $100 deposit to secure your session date (This is non-refundable but comes off your total session fee). The remainder of the session fee is due just before your session.
Yes, custom payment plans are available. Capturing our memories are an investment and I want to make sure everyone can have the opportunity to do this. You can also pay off any upgraded packages or products, however images and products will not be delivered until paid in full.
You will receive an online gallery 2-4 weeks after your session, which you can download in high and low resolution and also share the gallery with friends and family. You are able to purchase a USB and any other additional products within 2-5 weeks depending on which products, if any, are chosen.
Yes I can definitely help! Just sent me a message or an email and I will give you all my styling tips and help you as much as possible with finding the right outfits. Clients often send me pictures of what they have an I am more than happy to help coordinate 🙂
The location is completely up to you as they are your images and memories to look back on but I will definitely be here to help with the decision or give you options of locations that look great at that time of year. There may even be a special little place you and your family like to go or I can also decide for you if you prefer. That being said, I do often shoot at my home location in rural Sunderland as well as a semi-private beach area at Holmes Point in Georgina.
